Are you concerned about your kids getting into trouble when they bike outside? Or maybe you need help teaching them to be safer on their bikes? We can help provide bike safety instruction to the whole family.
We taught over 565 students at various youth oriented on-bike classes over the past 3 years.
Join us with your kids (ages 6 – 14) at our Family Bicycle Safety Workshop at our Bike to the Future event to learn to be safer, more skilled, and more confident riders. This is a hands-on, rodeo style learning experience. You and your kids will learn essential safety skills, ride a fun challenge course, and earn prizes!
We will teach different bike handling skills, how to navigate intersections, and how to prepare for safe and smooth rides. Each session is ~45-50 minutes in groups that include kids with their parents/guardians participating.
Your kids will need to be able to ride on their own. Please bring functional bicycles for them (see local bike shops if maintenance/repairs need to be done). If your child needs to borrow one, please include their height information (e.g. 4 ft 8 in or 142 cm). We will have ~2 bikes to borrow for the rodeo in a limited height range (approximately 4 ft 1 in – 5 ft 3 in). Please arrive at least 5 minutes in advance to be fitted to a bicycle.
The rodeo is located at the Bike Fest Activity Course area.
