Our Speaker for May 2024 – Naeem Zafar
As the Featured Speaker for the Industry Council for Small Business Development, Naeem Zafar brings a wealth of experience as a CEO Coach and Board Advisor, specializing in guiding CEOs and startups through the challenges of leading, growing, and exiting high-tech businesses. With a background that includes leading five ventures as a CEO and providing guidance to numerous others as a Board member or advisor, including the successful acquisition of TeleSense, an AgTech company, by UPL in 2020, Naeem Zafar offers a unique perspective on navigating the complexities of the business world.
Beyond Naeem Zafar’s professional accomplishments, he is deeply committed to educating and mentoring the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators. Naeem Zafar has been a dedicated instructor of entrepreneurship and innovation at UC Berkeley since 2005 and at Northeastern University since 2017, where he currently serves as the faculty director and Professor of the Practice. Additionally, Naeem Zafar is the author of five books on entrepreneurship, some of which are used as curriculum textbooks at various universities, further demonstrating his commitment to sharing the insights and lessons learned from his experiences.
In addition to Naeem Zafar’s educational endeavors, he has also played a significant role in various organizations and companies. Furthermore, Naeem Zafar has held the position of Board Chair for OPEN Silicon Valley and AspirePK.org, and honored to be the Founding President of the Brown University Club of Silicon Valley.
