Info Session: Be A Mentor

Join us for an exciting in-person event at Weekes Branch Library in Hayward, CA, USA! Are you passionate about making a difference in someone’s life? This info session is perfect for you. Learn how you can become a mentor and positively impact the lives of others. Discover the rewarding experience of guiding and supporting individuals in their personal and professional growth. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to make a lasting impact. Mark your calendar and be part of this inspiring event!

What we’re looking for:

  • Caring adults 21 or over who have reliable access to a car
  • Someone who is empathetic, a good listener, and wants to make a difference in a young person’s life. You do NOT have to have lived the perfect life. Often youth learn best from mistakes we’re willing to share with them.
  • A commitment of 2 hours a week for a full year

All mentors are required to complete a background check and training. Our mentoring coordinator will be available for support throughout the program (from beginning to end).

Many of the youth we serve have never had an adult really listen and care for them until they get a mentor. Often, they feel the world is against them. We believe in the potential of every child, and mentoring as a tool to help youth succeed.
