The biennial RISE Women’s Leadership Conference (WLC) brings together *women and girls for a day focused on cultivating under-represented leaders in San Mateo County and beyond. Located at the epicenter of progress and innovation, our conference aims to promote inclusive leadership and community building by supporting current and future female changemakers. Each biennial event focuses on a theme that addresses areas of success or need for women and girls and engages participants to be part of gender equity for women in San Mateo County.
RISE 2024 Women’s Leadership Conference: Surviving to Thriving to Driving Change invites our participants and sponsors to reconnect, invest, strive, and envision women leading the way in economic equity and childcare in San Mateo County. Living, as we do, at the epicenter of innovation, it is incumbent upon us to learn how we can become a catalyst for change.
Registration is open as long as there are tickets available. There will be no onsite registration.
The fees charged for RISE 2024 go directly into paying for restricted expenses such as food and beverage. However, we do not want it to be a deterrent to those who face economic hardship; therefore, we have a limited number of waivers available to those with economic hardship.
The *Women’s Leadership Conference is an in-person gathering where people share their lived experiences on economic equity for women and the impact of childcare and early education on families in San Mateo County. These people are invested in creating change in the workplace, government, businesses, and other sectors of community to empower and develop economic equity for *women and girls in San Mateo County.
*”Women and girls” refers to gender expansive adults and youth (cis, trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming, and gender queer). This event is for anyone who is comfortable in a space that centers the experiences of women.
