SHAKU’s African Wedding features dance performances and dramatic skits to tell a comedic story of two couples: one marrying and one renewing their vows. The audience will act as attendees in the wedding. This performance represents various cultures from the African Diaspora and creates a space of community and joy.
We have been sponsored by the Office of the Vice President for the Arts and are collaborating with other BVSOs such as Stanford Ethiopian and Eritrean Student Association and NAIJA. Dress Code is formal and cultural attire. Prepare for a night of entertainment and delicious food!
