About our instructor:
After starting her yoga journey 9 years ago, Marissa knew she had found true love, the key to healing and true happiness. Soon after experiencing her own level of transformation on a deeply profound physical, emotional, and spiritual level, she became passionate about learning all that she could about yoga.
There is a pure authentic passion to connect with all of her students, and Marissa truly strives to teach from a place of non-judgement, compassion & love. If joining her in a public class, you will find that although you are one amongst many other students, she always knows how to speak to the individual and keeps every students’ level in her perspective; truly mastering being able to teach to a wide audience- while paying close attention to each student so that they are truly seen and guided safely.
Teaching to all levels, Marissa teaches a wide variety of yoga styles from beginning to advanced, as well as breath work, meditation and life coaching. Emphasizing teaching with an alignment focus, she has a strong understanding of anatomy, kinesthetics and psychology. Currently Marissa is completing her B.S. in Kinesiology and studying to become a Doctor of traditional Chinese Medicine and a practitioner of Acupuncture. You can find her teaching in Santa Cruz, Los Gatos, and San Jose, California.
